    Default My trusty green machine

My old leather Lane Action recliner from 1994 is still taking good care of me. We’re both a bit more wrinkled and faded. Almost 28 years and we’re still watching tv together. That said, in nine months time I’ll be replacing her with another leather recliner, only one with power to help these old joints move easier. She’ll be close by in the other room…until we decide to refresh the sofa and love seat in there. Her green color won’t match with a new set, I’m afraid. I’ll enjoy her while I can!

Still in good shape for the age. Lane doesn't make them like that any more.

They sure don’t. Nor does La-Z-Boy, as we found out with the fabric junk we bought 15 years after this Lane recliner.

Holy cow ... talk about getting your money's worth. There is something nice about an old recliner. Reminds me of the dad from Frasier.

Lol. Yeah, his dad definitely had his trusty, well-worn in chair. No tape on mine, though! Lol. I’m looking forward to the power reclining with the new one. The handle is stiff on this recliner doing a number on my shoulder. I sure hope I can wear my new recliner in to be as comfortable as this has been the last nearly three decades.

We are replacing our Lane leather sofa and loveseat that we bought 21 years ago, LOL! They definitely don't make them like that anymore.

They sure don’t! Or if they do, you pay BIG time for it.

Yes, we're going with Hancock & Moore this go around. Hopefully we don't have to replace them for many, many years as well.

We went with Omnia. Same thing—I hope this is the last leather furniture we need to buy, probably in our lifetime if they last as long as my old green recliner. 🤞🏼
