Just moved into my new house and the previous owners left several furniture items including said desk. The finish is in rough shape and someone has even tried painting it. Needless to say it was free, has good bones, casters, and is solid. I was wondering if anyone has ever saw anything like it? Maybe like a replica or an actual one? The dovetail looks handmade and the designs in the front look to be hand carved since they're not perfectly matched. Any comments would be cool or ideas about what wood it is made of. Sorry for the dust and mess, nothing is clean yet and its a horrible mess!
