Personally I don't think there is much quality there at all, but it serves a purpose to fill a house on a budget. I would not anticipate getting any longevity out of any of the pieces.
One idea I like to toss out, realizing that not everyone can afford to buy upper quality in a batch, is to see if you can buy ONE piece (such as the sofa) in a high quality brand and then get the remainder of the group from JCPenny or similar. That way you have one durable piece in the house, and can then replace the lesser pieces with better quality as budget and time allows.
The vast majority of my customers who buy the kind of high quality goods I carry do not buy them in batches. Rather they get one, maybe two pieces a year. Though it seems like a long time, in 20 years or so they have a very nice collection (yes, I still go into customer homes who bought from me in the 80's - its fun to see the pieces that old still doing daily duty)
Also, never hurts to look at Craigslist to see what kind of pieces might be available as lightly used. You can get some high quality goods there from time to time for pennies on the original dollar they cost.
