Layout for multi purpose room

Hi Dr. Collie-
I have an odd layout of a large room the includes kitchen, dining and living room. I'm trying to attach an Icovia drawing.

I want to redo the living room area with new couch and recliner chair or 2 like what is on the plan, right now there is a couch and loveseat but it sort of blocks the whole room off. Any ideas? Was looking for a chesterfield style sofa and a artist chair I think. h&m. promo. let me know if you think pics would help.

I guess I'm open to altering other areas if this whole thing is a disaster. the shaded part is carpeted the kitchen,dining is hardwood floors.
