Is the ultra down a $270 option in the T&C for the Journey Sofa. I thought I read it was free but only for leather/upholstry combo. Why not for an all leather? Would it be 270 for each piece (sofa,recliner,chair)?
Once in a while, when I can get a Market Special for floor stock, H&M will do the Ultra Down free of charge as an incentive to buy floor stock ONLY. Right now for example, I have two floor models that have that as a no-cost option. However its never included when ordering a sofa. Here's the price structure and it varies depending on whether its going on a Sectional, Recliner, Sofa, Loveseat, Chair, etc.
This can get into a real quagmire, choosing optional cushions. Most dealers (including myself) do NOT have much experience with optional cushions. 95% of all H&M goes out with the standard cushions and the remaining 5% always seems to be Ultra Down. All the other options to be honest about it - I've never ordered or had customers order. I can't even imagine why anyone would want Memory Down in a seat, but I suppose someone asked for it so they made it available as an option. And I'd never put goose down in a back cushion, it would drive a person mad fluffing it all the time.
I like the standard cushions. Jimmy Moore likes them, too. Jack Glasheen, the other H&M owner, LOVES Ultra Down. So at the end of the day, its all personal preference.
Ultra Down adds on a sofa:
$ 143 on the seats
$ 127 on the backs
Other extra-cost cushion options in H&M (upgrade price using a sofa as an example)
Fiber Down Seats and/or Backs $ 135 / $ 130
Spring Down Seats $ 143
White Goose Feather & Down Seats and/or Backs $ 173 / $ 143
Memory Down Seats $ 203
