Searching on the site, I saw some posts from Duane regarding cleaning furniture, but I'm looking for more answers. This pertains to a white Jessica Charles chaise lounge that I believe may be a linen blend. It is about 1.5 years old and was never scotchgarded. Since I couldn't find a tag that indicated the appropriate cleaning methods, should I assume "Code S?" Duane recommended Carbona for this in another post, but I don't quite understand how you would use it to do a whole cleaning. Do you spray it over the entire chaise lounge? I'd like to refresh it before Scotchgarding it.

Cleaning code 'S' means dry cleaning fluids only. Always test on a backside to see how it affects color, etc. Carbona is just one that is readily available at most supermarkets, there are others as well.

I have only ever done spot cleaning, I would be very cautious in trying to do the entire piece and would probably have a professional do it. DO NOT let anyone talk you into 'steam cleaning' or anything water based, however. That will ruin fabrics with Cleaning Code S specifics.
