I just bought a Bradington Young leather reclining chair, and cannot fit it thru the door of the room I want to put it in!! Help!!
Is there a way to take the seat back off, so that I can move it in two pieces? There is no access to the reclining mechanism that I can see. All I can see are four bolts that seem to hold the whole middle of the chair between the armrests.
Any help appreciated! I cannot return the chair!
Can you supply a picture of the door and hallway, if there is one, along with dimensions of same and the chair?
Unless the door opens to an equally narrow hallway, you should be able to "hook" the back through the opening, then rotate the chair 90 degrees. Then you only need an opening big enough to handle the measurement of the chair from the top of the arms to the feet, usually about only 25 or 26 inches.
The back of the recliner does not come off without full disassembly of the recliner, it's not an easy job.
