Hi there, this website is very informative when it comes to buying furniture. I was specifically looking at Best Home Furnishings brand. They have several living rooms collections. I searched online and could not find lot of details or reviews about the manufacturer. I was able to get a feel of their Brinley collection (leather on top and vinyl on the sides) at one 2 of my local store here in FL. I did like the living room set. But, since this is a huge investment I wanted to get some opinion from our experts in this forum. It would be really great if someone could share information on Best Home Furnishings, their products, quality, life expectancy, warranty etc. Is it worth spending the money on this brand?
Thanks,
Ram.
I am not familiar with that brand, however anything made with leather uppers and vinyl lowers/sides would be a non-starter for me.

All the sales guys at various retail stores say the reason it is made of vinyl on the sides is because of the reclining (manual/power) functionality as leather would tear apart. Is this true?
Also all their products are made in Ferdinand, Indiana, USA.
That is not true. Vinyl sides are done as a cost-cutting measure, nothing more. Top Grain leather is stronger than vinyl as it has cellulose structure whereas vinyl is just a form of plastic.

Thank you drcollie.
I am looking at spending not more than $4500 for a sofa and love seat. Prefer to have power reclining option on one and manual reclining option on the other. Is there a good brand you recommend for this price range that I can look at. I am looking for a contemporary living room set. Any suggestion would be really appreciated.
Best Furniture is a lower end brand. I purchased an accent chair for a seldom used guest room a few years ago, I knew the brand but didn't want to spend much and the fabric looked nice (as long as your don't looked closely at detailing). I ended up using it for a couple weeks while some heirloom pieces were reupholstered. Surprisingly comfortable but the seat cushion was breaking down in less than a month. It is now back in the corner of a guest room where it is in use a couple times a year.
Sorry, I don't have a recommendation for you at that price point in all-leather. You will be getting into things like the vinyl sides at that price level. Good luck in your search!

Thanks for the valuable information Llyod.
What do you think is a good price range for an all leather sofa and love seat with a decent brand. If its going to last me 10+ years, I don't mind going the extra mile on the price to buy a good set of living room furniture.
