So we picked this up quite a while back and finally got around to a clean up... turned out pretty nice, given we started with a pretty dirty cushion. I'd call it danish modern ... maybe 1960's. It was in an estate sale, in an old house in WV, dirty dusty and crusty, but my wife spotted the lines and the look and snatched it up! We replaced the fargus straps, as one was MIA. I started doing research and found a great deal of info on the company. The name is on the tag on the cushion. In looking further, I spotted a nearly identical chair with more holes in the cane back than ours, and no cushion (and no name) listed for $1500 from a seller with a good deal of other high dollar MCM stuff. Seems crazy to me... but I'd be interested in thoughts from more enlightened and knowledgeable folks.
How's it look to you?
Is the cushion a big plus? Looks original to me.
Is the other seller nuts on the value? (would be an amazing score for our little mom and pop biz).
Whatcha' all think?
People can ask for any price they like. Looking at for sale listings you always have to ask yourself is it still for sale because the price is too high. Try to find actual sold listings if you can to get a better idea of what people are actually paying.
