Hancock & Moore # 1724/1723 Journey Sofa and Loveseat in Kipling Whiskey
When folks ask me for the most comfortable sofas in the H&M lineup, this is one I direct them to. I think the name "Journey" means you're about to take a nap on these pieces.....
Shown in Kipling Whiskey, a Aniline, GR 2 hide. Note the 'striations' on the back panels of the pieces - those are fat wrinkles and stretch marks, and not considered faults but natural to the hide. Kipling is full of natural markings, that some would mistake for flaws, but its largely an uncorrected hide so that's part of the appeal. It looks and feels like real leather. Its a stiffer, waxy topcoat hide, and that doesn't always translate well to loose areas (see the arm panels for what I mean). If you object to that 'wrinkling' then order a softer, more pliable leather. Great color, good hand. I have this same leather on my personal recliner at home.
