Hi, I am hoping to get some advice on this local find. It's a pair of Hancock & Moore Tufted Balfour chairs and they look to be in great condition in the pictures. I'm a newbie, I don't see any cracks, stains, or popped buttons in the pictures.
Here are my questions :
1) The seller says they are 2 years old, does that sound right based on the label style? I saw in another thread that this label style hasn't been used for at least a decade. If that's correct, it appears the seller is lying about them being 2 years old.
2) Does anyone know what this leather is? Is this cameo bone-grey?
3) He's willing to take $600 for the pair. Is that a good price?
4) Last one. If I buy them, I plan on getting Duane's Top Coat Matte and Kit #2. Is that the right kit for this leather?
Thanks in advance!

9516T Balfour Tufted Chair is still listed on H&M's website.
Thanks for the link, Casey. I saw that too, it gives me hope that the chairs are not too too old.
Chairs are in great shape, that's an expensive chair to buy new - $ 3K each or more depending on hide. I'd buy those in a minute for $ 300 each, are you kidding? WOW.
Leather is not Cameo, but I can't identify by photos. Its not one of the cheap, painted leathers though. Probably a GR 3 or 4 which would make them $ 4K new each
They are not two years old. More like twelve or fifteen based on the deck label, and there is no serial number on it which they have been using for at least a decade as well. Won't matter, they have low use on them, its quality and they look like brand new. If you decide to take a pass...let us know. I'd buy those for my own home if I didn't have to drive too far.

Thank you, Duane! That's reassuring to hear. We are so excited about the find.
I think the market here is cheaper than in other places. There are very few listings, but I found old/sold listings for $300 sofa and $150 chair that were in fairly good shape. I will find some examples to share when I have time tomorrow.
I think condition of the chairs is more important than the age and these chairs look like they were barely used. Paying $600 for both is a steal of a price.
Yes, I agree with Casey. Hancock and Moore is so well made, I'd not hesitate to buy something from the 80's they made - its all about use. Those look like they were never even sat upon. I'm envious, those will look spectacular in person, wait until you see them.

Got the chairs tonight! We can't get over how soft the leather is! We've never had nice leather furniture like this before. The closest thing we have are top grain leather sofa and bed from El Dorado, which is a South Florida chain store here. The chairs are in like new condition just like in the pictures. One of them has a tiny stain that is hardly noticeable on the seat cushion and a faint scratch on the back, and the other one has a scuff mark on the wood that can be fixed easily. And Duane was right on about the age, the seat cushion cores are dated 07/29/2005. Here are some pictures of the flaws. The last picture is a close up of the leather and the back of the sample tag. Any idea what this leather is? Could it be cowen fawn?

Wonderful.
I think that is Capri Birch, a GR 4 leather. Definitely not Cowen, that has only been in the line 2 years. What a score!

I saw your post back in 2017 about the Capri series. I feel so lucky!
I mentioned that my local market (South Florida) seems to be cheaper than others, here are some examples (all Hancock & Moore):
1) Sofa - $100
2) Reclining sofa $279
3) Hancock and Moore Bradford Channel Back Swivel-Tilt Chair $150
4) Tufted Wingback Chair - $350
