My wife and I are considering purchasing some leather furniture. Our budget has informed us that we will most likely have to purchase used. We are not necessarily in a hurry, and we want something that withstand a lot of use (we have 3 kids).

Here on the forums, almost everyone talks about Hancock and Moore, Leather Craft, and Bradington and Young as being the top 3 furniture makers.

Since we are most likely going to buy used (and may have a hard time finding these particular brands), are there any other furniture manufacturers that make durable furniture we should look at?

Also, while we are looking at used furniture, what are some of the things we should look for in order to make sure that the furniture is in good condition?

Thanks.
