Yes it is. That is classic Wet Blue leather. Hope you didn't pay too much for that piece!

I am very fussy about my wallet, though I have discovered that you don't have to spend a lot of money it get a very nice one. And a good man's wallet will last a decade or more even under the most harsh conditions. I have been fortunate enough to travel to Italy several times, and that's where I get mine, because the leather is always done right and they come out to be about $ 45 US dollars. Here in the states, the price for a quality wallet seems to be about 3x that much. Leather products are MUCH less in Italy than here in the USA. Last trip there we found a small, one-man leather shop within sight of the Vatican and a couple hundred yards away from the train station, and the whole family loaded up on purses, wallets, etc. for not much money.

I received a Saddleback wallet as a gift a couple of years ago and I am pretty happy with it. I have the "Front Pocket ID" wallet and it is a great size for me since I don't carry much.
It was $95. Alarm bells were going off in my head when I saw the suede so I didn't snip off the tags. Needless to say, it's going back to the store.
It's funny, when I googled the brand + "leather quality" before posting last night, all I found was people raving about the "high quality, pebbly yet soft leather". I guess I'm probably their one in a million customer who actually knows the basics of how to judge leather quality, thanks to the leather education I received here.
So once again, you have my thanks, Duane - not only did you make me a more discerning furniture shopper, you saved me $95 too
Thanks for the recommendation. Now that my search for a new wallet is starting over from square one (and a trip to Italy is unfortunately not on the horizon), I will have a look.

You don't have to go to Italy to get a wallet, you can just do a few mouse clicks. Here's one of the best leather makers in the Florence region, they are well-known and I think you would be pleased with anything from them - for sure you won't get a wet-blue wallet!
