I'm looking at a label originally stapled underneath one of my H&M chairs. (I save these labels with my receipts.) It lists the model, style, date/order #, quantity and the leather cover name. It does not list the grade (I,II, III, IV, or V) or classification (protected, semi-aniline, or aniline) of the leather. Consequently, it is challenging to determine how to clean/maintain older leather furniture especially.

For example. In 2002 we ordered 2 Sadler Ball & Claw chairs (1405) with matching ottoman (1404). The cover is listed only as "Charleston Tobacco" and evidently is no longer available at H&M. So, I don't know how to clean it properly.

Two requests for Duane please:
(1) Request H&M also include leather "maintenance/care" info on their label, and;
(2) Find out what "Charleston Tobacco" leather is and how I clean it.

Thanks.
