Ok, I am building a computer and i need a new desk (Preferably a corner desk)
I have looked throughout the interwebs and store in my area, but no avail.
I want a desk that has a hutch and monitor space(monitor is 25" across) and just a flat desk on the other side
Help?
I'm in the trade and I couldn't find a desk, either. There were a few that would work from IKEA, but I was looking for something many levels above that in quality. After checking with all my suppliers to see what they might have - which was nothing - I finally just designed one myself and had it built to fit the corner (Daughter's Room) making it as large as possible and stopping 1" away from the window molding. Here's the photos of that desk in this thread:

That kind of desk was very popular in the early 90's, but has faded away with the migration to laptops and flat panel displays. When those were popular, we had the great big ole honkin' CRT displays and the hutch hid them. They tend to give you a "closed-in" feeling with the hutch-on-the-desk, like you're working in a box. More recently they are done without the top segment (hutch). You should still be able to find some around, however. The real deal would be to shop that pre-owned.....they can be had for pennies on the dollar of their original price as many don't want that style any longer. Some of my makers still do them (would be easy to add the side table)

I don't carry this line, but here's a few more option, the first one is more updated with a cleaner, more airy look:

Here's one on ebay (but it's not cheap):

At the same time, if it's from the 1940's, it's in remarkable condition (assuming it was actually used) and, if you like it, you're not going to get anything like it new or custom-built for that price.
For something professional-looking that exudes wealth and power you are going to have to look into some of the european designers.
It looks like you might have to have a desk custom built if you can't find exactly what you are looking for. That or you'll have to settle for something close. You might try resale shops. Sometimes they have older styles of furniture and might carry what you need.
I would recommend a custom built desk made the exact size you are looking for. That is the best option for this case.
