Hello, I am new to the forum although I have read many of Duane's posts on GW. I have the opportunity to buy the Reed leather sofa, six years old and in good condition, for $850. It was in a second home for four years and temp controlled storage for two. I am pretty sure this is a good price but would like your opinions. I do appreciate any information you can share.
I think you should consider having to add new cores to the cushions at about 85 - 100 a piece. That will add to the price of the sofa. You might use that as a bargaining point. Ohterwise, I would go for it if you really LOVE the sofa. you're going to have it for years - you have to love it first. That's my free advice.
Its pretty difficult to render an opinion of a used piece without detailed photos.

Thanks for your responses. I did buy the sofa, it is in excellent condition with upgraded cushions and leather. It looked so much better in person than the pictures that were posted on CL. I am very pleased, I have been looking for a few years and this is the first used piece of H & M that I have seen listed.
Grandmapat, Glad you love the sofa. May I ask in what city you found the sofa? Thanks.
