Duane, attached is a picture of a sofa off Craigslist. What happened to this sofa so we can prevent it from happening to ours? The cushion backs are all saggy and the seat cushions have faded somehow?
Classic.
1) failure to clean and condition
2) sun damage
All preventable by the owner/user.

Thanks for the info Duane. Does conditioning keep the leather from sagging like that? Just wondering.
Wow that's a crazy fade pattern. How did they fade the front of the seat cushions but not the front of the frame or front of the back cushions? Tops of the cushions but not tops of the arms? It's like they covered the whole frame, then put the cushions on top of the cover.
That sofa is just worn out. Happens. However they could have extended the life of the piece by caring for it a little better. Some of that wear is abrasion wear in addition to sun fade. it looks well used, rode hard, and put away wet.
No, conditioning will not slow leather stretching.
