I get jaded working with furniture every day. Once in a great while, something comes along that dazzles me. Such is the new Jameswood Chair, designed by Alan Price. I had to have one after seeing it at October Market and it arrived today. Leather is a GR 3 Burnished (Cameo Brown) and its sporting the new Belgian Chocolate finish. Notice the doweled arm joint on top of the arm, that impressed me as it means it won't be separating over time. This chair is MUCH heavier than I thought it would be - it weighs every bit as much as a full size wing chair or small recliner. And it sits well. Very well. Upright but not uncomfortable (for me). Nail Trim is "S" and "R". I think I will be buying at least one of these for my own home, though I have to 2-tone the leathers and jazz it up even a bit more <G>

Gorgeous! And thanks for the closeup of the Belgian Chocolate! The back of that chair is crying out for some detailing - the one giant piece of leather looks awkward to me. Maybe some racing stripes
I love the sculptural quality of this chair. Really pretty!
That's one of those pieces of furniture that I just love! Doesn't go with a single thing I own, but it's gorgeous. That side view makes me wonder if I can convince myself that the curve of the front legs will look just fine with in the same room with my smaller antique armoire.
I'm thinking a suede or deerskin on that outside arm panel....

Very nice!
Belgian Chocolate is an absolutely gorgeous wood. We recently saw the Adirondack Rocker w/ Belgian Chocolate on a showroom floor and immediately decided to order it from Duane. Not only do we love rockers, but in Belgian Chocolate any chair with a lot of wood like Adirondack and Jamestown is stunning.
The catalog lists a "Jamestown" ottoman that goes with this chair. Have you ever seen a pic of the matching ottoman? Seems like it would be named Jameswood, not jamestown, to match the chair. Typo maybe?
