I'm looking for a chair that will fit in a small room that will be sat in for long periods of time. I don't know if this would be too expensive, but the features I'm looking for are...
- Thick padding on arms
- No wider than 35 inches
- A full grain pull-up leather in a very dark reddish brown. (Class 2 in H&M was probably the most expensive I could go)
- Either a flip up footrest, or an ottoman that does not take up a large amount of space.
- A classic design that is solid looking, but not too modern.
-Less than $1500?
I like the Rugby Lounger and the Westheimer lounger from H&M, the 2447 Recliner from LeatherCraft, and the Luca From BY, but I don't know what any of these would cost. Any help, or suggestions for other brands to look at, or first hand knowlege of chair that you like would be greatly appreciated.
$ 1,500 tops won't put you into any H&M, Leathercraft, or even B-Y on a chair/ottoman combo, sorry. You can get into some of the B-Y recliners at that price point, however - but probably not in a pull-up hide. Best bet is to cruise your local furniture stores with an eye out for clearances and closeouts. Good luck.

How about a stationary chair with no ottoman? Are stationary chairs generally more expensive than recliners? Are there any lower priced brands that you could recommend that aren't total garbage?
Stationary chairs are generally a bit less than recliners.
I don't recommend 'brands', rather I encourage you to read up on what makes a good piece of furniture and then investigate on your own. All you need to know about how to buy a good piece is here in the forum.
