I love this chair. Granted, the style is plain and straightforward, but its oh-so-comfortable to me. Not a TV/movie relaxation chair, but a conversation chair that you can sit in for hours on end - I know, I did spend 2 hours in one at the H&M showroom last fall. Looks good in Kipling Whiskey, I particularly like the thread color H&M used with it. Note that with each swivel base chair, Hancock and Moore makes a leather cover in the main body leather that goes over the black metal base (not shown), the only company I know that does that extra special touch.

Hi Duane,
I'm looking for a simple, compact and comfortable chair, and was intrigued by the Oscar when I saw your post mentioning it as one of the most comfortable chairs you have ever sat in. Swivel and lounge would be a pragmatic choice for my layout, but I'm concerned with the aesthetics of the base.
I want to see as little of the base mechanism as possible. How much of the base is visible in this chair? And does that vary between glider, swivel/lounger or swivel power recliner? Thanks
You can order a sleeve for any swivel base made in the same body material (or different if you prefer) for any of the rocker/gliders. Swivel-only chairs are low enough to the ground where you don't really need to be concerned with that.
Note this particular chair is no longer available and there are no frames remaining. I still have (1) Black one in the store as a clearance priced floor model.
