Greetings and thanks for hosting a forum where answers may be found to questions that most people normally have to ask only once or twice in their lifetime.
I have a leather H&M recliner that is about 15 years old. The recliner mechanism has broken on the right side so that the back is no longer supported on that side. It appears that one of the metal bars that extend from a mount point on the side base frame to support the chair back has fatigued and broken.
Is this repairable and (roughly) at what cost compared to replacement?
Scott
You can buy a replacement mechanism, the cost is $ 230 + shipping to your location (they are heavy). Would need to know your chair model # or if you cannot identify it, I can try if you can post photos of the unit. labor charges are about 1.5 hours from most upholstery shops or you can tackle it yourself.

Thanks very much. I am in NVA, found this forum, your store, and read several repair posts.
Is this a repair that your business will do or do you have any recommendations for shops between Fredericksburg and DC?
Oh, and it is a 1023 Addison Bustle Back Ball & Claw Recliner.
Mechanism is available for a 1023. I don't install these, however any upholstery shop near you should be able to.

very similar problem with Hi Leg Royal or Woodbridge mechanism where connecting bolt between seat and back on the right side has broken the bar. These model chairs seems so similar in appearance maybe their mechanism is the same as there are no tags to identify our model. I am really hoping to find a way to repair rather than replace. I posted a new thread asking this question. thank you.
