No, none of the major players in the industry require any dealer to pay a deposit or in full. The only exception to that is if the dealer has such a poor payment record that their credit is shot, but what usually happens then is they lose their dealership, and that's pretty rare. Almost all dealers are NET 30, where the bill we get from companies is due to the manufacturer 30 days after its been shipped, that is the normal course of business.

A 1/3 deposit is not unreasonable from your dealer, we do 20% here at The Keeping Room, but most stores are 50%.
