How to customize Westwood tilt back chair and ottoman?

I’ve wanted a Westwood tilt back chair and ottoman for a while now. Duane’s retirement is finally making me make my move.

I know it’s bold but thinking of Tiburon Peacock or may chicken out and go with Tiburon Stone.

I see most of the floor stock was ordered with Ultra Down back and Spring Down seats. Still think best?

Maybe Black Pearl nails? What size?

Worth doing special stitching? Kind of like G or I stitching.

Worth doing gimp?

Idea on wood finish color?

Tiburon Peacock is bold! Make sure that fits in your decor as it can be limiting.

Ultra Down or standards.....that's a tough call. As I approach my 70th Birthday, I prefer firmer core so now I personally like standards. However 15 years ago, when I was 55, I was Down all the Way for more cush. One size does not fit all, so that one is take your best guess based on your preferences.

Nail Size is set for the piece, you don't have to be concerned with that. just the colors. I do like Black Pearl.

Special Stitch and Gimp are like jewelry. They are strictly decorative and all about showing some bling. Up to you.

Wood finish all depends on your color palettes in the room and what you think looks better with your leather choice.

What do you think is truer reflection of Peacock color - the sofa or the loose leather bundle? More blue or green?

My Author chair has ultra down seat and I’ve enjoyed so I’m thinking yes to Spring Down and Ultra Down.

Probably no to gimp or at least not contrasting.

Still thinking special stitching - like the I on the burnished Westwood example. Thoughts on G vs I?

Another option - instead of G or I stitching, Jennifer lace or William lace. Thoughts?

Loose leather is more accurate.

Spring Down / Ultra Down is always a good combo

I have only ever done, or seen, the "I" Stitch in person. It works well, and I'm just not sure on the other stitches.

Skip the lace, too much for that chair frame I think.

That throws a wrench into my thoughts - was hoping closer to sofa color vs loose.

Now thinking Tiburon Stone but seeing Markle Graphite is same price class I may want to get it instead. I know they are completely different leathers - pull up vs somewhat if not better feel than my Capri leather chair. Any wise thoughts?

It's a bright color, the sofa photo was professionally done to show shadows and in best lighting, etc. Peacock is bright!

Markle is softer than your Capri, but it is also more naked. I would stick to the Tiburon for something getting heavier use like a Tilt Back Chair, its more resilient to spills and snacks, the Markle is pretty unforgiving in the respect.

Alright Tiburon it is.

Now has me thinking about Tiburon Paprika as red is my favorite color.

I really like the pop of color from my Capri Claret Author chair.

Thoughts on how the two red chairs would coordinate together with a more muted brown sofa or maybe a future Tiburon Stone sofa.

Dis-similar reds don’t play well together, you can get away with that on browns, tans and some blues, but not the reds. Tiburon Paprika is much brighter and in your face that Capri Claret. Probably best to pass on that pairing.
